Mosaic stepping stone made with pieces of Talavera tile. I selected a palette of blues, yellows and oranges from two tile designs, and created the mosaic on a simple concrete stepping stone. I custom mixed grout colorant to match a small rusty red detail in the tile pieces that contrasts well against the larger cream, yellow and blue.

Typically, my mosaic style is to place jagged glass pieces close together in the mortar without grout. This was my first time experimenting with using grout and grout colorants.
